I will follow you Into the Dark

Music No Comments »

Come on, it was long. A small live video and the text that goes with. A beautiful text which, despite the subject, but an optimistic note ... Yes, we will all one day or another, then I invite you to raise your glass to those already part (Bertrand, personal feel for you) and we all still there.

"I Will Follow You Into The Dark"

Love of mine some day you will die
I'll be close behind goal
I'll follow you Into the Dark

No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
Just our hands clasped so tight
Waiting for the hint of a spark
If Heaven and Hell decide
That THEY Both are satisfied
Illuminate the NOs on Their vacancy signs

If there 's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you Into the Dark

In Catholic school as vicious as Roman rule
I got my knuckles bruised by a lady in black
Held my tongue and I've Told me she
"His fear is the heart of love"
So I Never Went back

If Heaven and Hell decide
That THEY Both are satisfied
Illuminate the NOs on Their vacancy signs

If there 's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you Into the Dark

You and I Have Seen to see everything
From Bangkok to Calgary
And the soles of your shoes are all worn down
The time for sleep is now
It's nothing to cry about
'Cause we'll soon Hold Each Other
In the blackest of rooms

If Heaven and Hell decide
That THEY Both are satisfied
Illuminate the No's on Their vacancy signs

If there 's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you Into the Dark
Then I'll follow you Into the Dark

"Pedal my big" Project - Phase 1: Planning

"Pedal my big" Project No Comments »

Here, the schedule takes shape. Thank you my little Nico: "You occupy yourself of all, I care for nothing".

So here are the details of the walk:

"So I just finished the route on google maps ... so you saw the map, now, here are some explanations (and some minor roads).

Starting on Tuesday 18 Galway (you can get to see Galway on 17 and take the temperature of Irish pubs)
45 kms to go to Carraroe (Carna in Gaelic, it is better to know because we're going to see much!)
Not much to see along the coast but cons, go on and Lettermore Gorumna Island. We sleep in tents. Location: to be defined locally.

Wednesday 19
Departure from Carraroe towards Roundstone 70 Kms
It continues along the coast with a stop at the port of Kilkerian (seaweed processing and salmon) and Cashel (great view of the hill Cashel Hill) then stop at Roundstone.
2 Campsites so nice to see where you plant the tent. Typical small port, it comes out!

Thursday 20
Departure from Roundstone in Cleggan 45 Kms
It always runs along the coast and arrive mid morning in Clifden. Break!
One of the most beautiful pony fairs since 1924. According to Backpacker, "good-fair atmosphere throughout the city, where barrels of Guinness can be long ..."
We leave towards the Sky Road, a legendary road, west of the city. Claddaghduff Directorate, where we will wait (or not) the low tide to go on Omey Island.
We sleep depending on what time it is.

Friday 21
We will say leaving Cleggan 40 Kms towards Leenane
Stop Letterfrack, Connemara National Park entrance, visit the Visitors Centre. Departure for a walking tour of the Twelve Bens (2-3h)
Kylemore Abbey and Gardens (entrance fee but not very interesting as the Backpacker)
Killary fjord to contemplate. Even taking our breakfast! (Night in hostel / camping: http://www.sleepzone.ie/About_Sleepzone_Connemara/Default.87.html)

Saturday 22
Leenane-Achill Island 80 Kms
The largest island of Ireland, connected to the mainland by a bridge. It contains the highest cliffs in Europe!
The "cities" of Keel and Dooagh
Night on a beach, it is playable, right?

Sunday 23
Westport-Achill Island 60 Kms
It profits from the island and we go quiet, stopping at Abbey Burrishoole (if it has not made up)

Monday 24
Westport Cong 60 Kms
It runs along the Lough Mask and visit Cong.
We can sleep a little further, on the edge of another lake, Lough Corrib.

Tuesday 25
Cong-Galway 80 km (or less and I think it's better!)
It borders the largest freshwater lake in Ireland and we ended a sacred adventure yet ...

8-9 days I think, an affordable rate and a small margin for the unexpected ...

It starts to get late and 480 Kms me tired
If this fits you, you can sign! We hear about it and I'll let you learn about other stuff to do.
Take Care

NiKo "

Yes, I definitely sign. I feel like I'm going to **** ch. Lol!

"Pedal my big" Project 3 Comments »

After four months underwater, the beginning of life, discovery and business suit who goes with ... (I hate the suits in the summer), and so on. The holidays are approaching. Do not say: "Already!" I can not help it. They are mandatory.

;-)

I can finally take care of expectations and photos why not give me a little to write.

A nice little project is being prepared for August 4l of my co-driver offered me a small Irish trip. But without 4L ...

400 km bike ... so, if you read ... by bike. I feel like I'm spitting my lungs. Program, around the park's Connemara. Once the route will be finalized, I should publish it. This is the "pedal my big" Project. This will allow me to finally take care of a little tin that grows. Grrrr! ! !

So in the meantime ....

A little quote that I read the other day:

The big difference between love and friendship, is that there can be no friendship without reciprocity.

Michel Tournier

A word, thanks Nico for this project.

"A certain idea of India"

India No Comments »

All trips leave traces all.

Some leave sweet memories in my head like a passing breeze on our skin. Others mark us deeply, we change, we transform. It lives with every day. It's hard to get rid of, we really wish it?
India is one!

Alberto Moravia describes this exchange he had on his return from India (The Idea of India):

"So you went to India. Was it good?
- No.
- You were bored?
- No more.
- Whether you're happened there?
- I did an experiment.
- Which one?
- Experience of India.
- And that is what?
- To make the experience of what India.
- That is to say?
- How can I explain? India is India ... "

Yes, the experience of India ... response that seems most relevant, but that seems an old formulation vaporous, orgueuilleuse, ventarde for sure.

I finally answer: No! There is nothing superior to anything in my words, just an inability to describe, tell, share what I have actually lived what I have learned, what I have left.

All this to my greatest regret.

Experience of India is leaving our Cartesian world to enter the world of mysteries, beliefs, strengths ... is to accept that things are not as well and that's stop looking to understand because India is incomprehensible. So paradoxical, so surprising, though ...

Experience of India is to accept that there are no words to describe what we see, lives there. It is accepting of never being able to fully express what is there or not.

I selected and reworked some pictures to try to communicate this nostalgia, melancholy inside me since my trip to India.

I hope they will talk.
